Welcome to the Shim & Lim's Won Children's Library

The Shim & Lim's Won Children's Library is a private and non-profit children's library founded in 2008. The library is currently located at the Shim & Lim's apartment in Pyeongchon, Korea. It retains about three thousands children's books (English only). While the reading levels of the books may vary, the majority of the books would be suitable for 5 to 13 yrs old children, if they were educated in an English-speaking country.

Some of the feature books that we have are as follows:
• Famous children's writers: we have quite number of books written by Judy Blume, Margaret Wise Brown, Betsy Byars, Beverly Cleary, Roald Dahl, Kate Dicamillo, Louis Sachar, Laura Ingalls Wilder (in alphabetical order), and other popular children's authors.
• Medal awarded books: we have all the Newbery Winners since 1959, the Carnegie Winners since 1991, and other medal awarded books including Caldecott.
• Popular chapter series: we have books from the Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne, the Baby-Sitters by Ann M. Martin, the Goosebumps by R. L. Stine, the Horrible Harry by Suzy Kline, the Cam Jansen by David A. Adler, and more.

• 07-27-2011, Announcement- : We are sorry to announce that the library will be closed for about one year until next year. The whole Shim family will stay in the States for the period. We are looking forward to seeing you next year with a lot of new books. Thanks everyone-.

• 04-17-2011, New book arrivals : Doctor De Soto by William Steig, 1983 Newbery Honor. This version is a Book & CD, narrated by Stanley Tucci, the Golden Globe recipient actor.
